How do I add/change the PI on my documents?
Answer:
Every document must have one PI listed in the Principal Investigator section on the form. The PI can be found using the Person Finder tool. Just click on the   Find link to get started using this tool. Click here for more details on how to use the Person Finder.

You will be allowed to change this PI to any UTD faculty member and not a student or staff member.
Note:If our records incorrectly classifies someone as non faculty, please give us a call at 972-883-4561 or email us at explorer@utdallas.edu to have this changed.

You can also modify the PI's details:
  1. Email: This can be changed to any email address that the PI would like to be notified at. It defaults to the email address on the PI's faculty profile.
  2. Phone number: This can be changed to any phone number that the PI would like to be contacted at. It defaults to the phone number on the PI's faculty profile.
  3. Rank: This can be changed to any job title-department combination that the PI would like to use on the document. It defaults to the rank on the PI's faculty profile.
    Note: When trying to continue to the next stage of the document, the system checks the department chosen against our records. If there is no match, you will be asked to choose a department and rank from our selection tool. This is done to ensure correct routing of your documents.
